What's happening

The Vercel policy update, explained plainly

On March 17, 2026, Vercel updated their Terms of Service and Privacy Policy to support new "agentic" AI features. The changes introduce optional AI model training using user code, agent chat logs, and telemetry data.

The default settings depend on which plan you're on: Hobby and Trial Pro users are opted in by default to having their code and data used for AI model training — and potentially shared with third-party model providers. Paid Pro and Enterprise users are opted out by default.

Vercel has made an opt-out available via Team Settings → Data Preferences, but the window to act before any initial data use closes at March 31, 2026, 11:59:59 PST.

Migration guide

Deploy on CreateOS in minutes

Sign in at createos.nodeops.network and follow these steps to get your app live. No rewrites needed for most projects — CreateOS detects your framework and builds it for you.

01

Open Deploy from the left panel

Click Deploy in the left-hand navigation after signing in.

02

Connect or browse your GitHub repositories

Click Import GitHub Repository if this is your first time connecting GitHub. If you've already connected it, you'll see Browse Repositories instead.

03

Select your repository and import

Find the repository you want to deploy and click Import.

04

Choose Manual or Build with AI

Select Manual if you have specific install and build commands to configure. Select Build with AI to let CreateOS automatically detect your framework, commands, and build files — you just choose the branch.

05

Click Deploy

When your configuration is ready, hit Deploy. Build logs stream in real time so you can follow along.

06

Watch the logs and confirm deployment

After a couple of minutes you'll see a green Deployed message with a link to continue to the dashboard.

07

Visit your live application

From the dashboard, open your deployment URL and your app is live — SSL, CDN, and all.

Why CreateOS

Deploy faster and safer

A unified execution environment built for builders who want control over their stack — and their data.

Privacy-first defaults

Your code is never used to train AI models without your explicit action. No background data sharing, no opt-in buried in settings — your projects belong to you by default.

No default data training

Zero-friction deployment

Deploy from GitHub, a Docker image, a file upload, or a template. Use manual configuration for full control, or let Build with AI detect your framework and set up the pipeline automatically.

GitHub · Docker · Upload · Templates

Integrated managed databases

Provision PostgreSQL, MySQL, Apache Kafka, or Valkey with one click, from the same dashboard you deploy from. No separate database console, no credential juggling between services.

PostgreSQL · MySQL · Kafka · Valkey

Full operational control

After deployment, a centralised dashboard gives you real-time logs, analytics, alerts, environment management, compute scaling, security scanning, and custom domains.

Logs · Analytics · Alerts · Scaling

Predictable pricing

Free forever with one project, no credit card required. Plus at $49/month (5 projects, Kafka and Valkey included) and Pro at $149/month (20 projects, 100 GB storage).

No hidden fees

Built on NodeOps

CreateOS runs on the NodeOps Network — a verifiable, decentralised compute backbone. Infrastructure complexity is absorbed by the platform, not your team.
